Phoenix Rising yoga therapy is a dance. The therapist moves with the client, providing a mirror for thoughts, images, and emotions that emerge during the session. The goal is to encourage the client to allow these feelings to be acknowledged, experienced, and in the process, released.

The pace of modern life is so rapid that we rarely allow ourselves the time to be inside our feelings. We shove  moments aside as they rush past, denying or minimizing their effect on us. As a consequence, traumatic events and daily stresses we experience become stored in our bodies. We carry them like luggage, and they impact our physical as well as our mental health. Yoga therapy strives to provide a safe, guided pathway to that elusive place where we can pause, listen and breathe.
